It’s been a long time coming, my router table setup has been long overdue for a serious upgrade. The “cheap and cheerful” router lift I’ve been using has served its purpose, but it’s finally on its last legs.
While I was at it, I wanted more than just a standard fence upgrade, I set out to create something fully custom, fully adjustable, and versatile enough to even joint timber.
In this video, I take you through the process, first replacing the lift, designing the fence from scratch, 3D printing the components, and putting it all to the test. This is the most ambitious shop project I’ve tackled yet, and the results have exceeded even my expectations.
