Upgrade your dust collection system with this 3D-printable blast gate design, available as a set of digital print files. 

Print and build your own ball valve dust collection gate that can be operated manually, remotely, or expanded into a more advanced automated setup.

These gates are designed to suit 100mm (4") dust collection systems.

Pipe Dimensions:

  • OD: 100mm / 107mm
  • ID: 96mm / 103mm


These gates have been designed from the ground up to solve common workshop frustrations:

  • Low-profile valve design - saves space compared to traditional sliding gates.
  • Remote-controlled option - open and close gates from anywhere in your shop using plug-and-play electronics.
  • Beginner friendly - no coding, no soldering, no complex wiring, just 3D print and assemble.
  • Arduino-compatible system (NEW) - expand into automated control based on tool usage.


What’s included:
This digital download contains all the .STL files you need to 3D print all four different versions of the ball valve dust collection system.  You'll find digital files to print:
 

  • Standard remote controlled ball valve gate
  • Standard manual ball valve gate
  • Manifold remote controlled ball valve Gate
  • Manifold manual ball valve gate
  • Updated manifold manual ball valve gate


Servo Plates to suit different servo motors:

  • Micro servo motor (1.5kg) (Not recommended for the 107mm version, or manifold, 100mm only)
  • Medium servo motor (5.1kg) (Recommended)
  • Large servo motor (20kg)


Electronics & Control Files (Updated)
This pack now includes both control system options:
 

  • Original System
  • Bambu Labs CyberBrick configuration files
  • Original plug-and-play remote control setup


Arduino System (NEW)

  • Core Arduino programs used in the project
  • Gate control (servo modules)

  • These files are provided as a starting point and can be modified to suit your own setup.

 

Update 11/7/2026

New servo plates to suit a range of medium and larger motors that have different depths. A common issue encountered is that some of the plates wouldn't suit certain motors, they were slightly deeper or shorter than some of the ones I'd been using. Additionally, having individual servo plates for different sized medium and large motors did not make sense (I've since ditched the smaller ones just for practicality). The new plates are now adjustable, allowing you to adjust the position of the servo.

  • All files can be printed using standard PLA or PETG if preferred.  

    Please ensure you understand your 3D printer.  The fit and performance of your gates will rely heavily on the accuracy of your printer and the tolerances it's capable of.

    Take into consideration the environment you'll be using this in, and account for humidity and temperature when choosing your filament type.
